The books in this article were not listed in any particular order as to rate them, so please keep that in mind. I have personally studied, and practiced, eastern philosophy for the past 10+ years, and it literally saved my life. Back in 2008 I was forced into a space of turmoil and anguish, followed by a series of unfortunate life events such as back to back layoffs and other personal loss. Along the way I found numerous gurus, mystics, books and seminars and personally enjoyed them all. Of the many books and experiences I had along the way, there were a certain few that stuck with me. And that’s what I am presenting to you here.


If you’re in search of enlightenment I highly recommend reading the books listed below. Each of them all have an audio book version as well. I have personally read, or listened to, each book below no less than 30 times each over the years. If that sounds excessive I get it, but it goes to show how impactful they have been to me since the beginning of my journey until now.     





So that’s my list and I am sticking to it! To this day I often fall asleep with one of them playing in the background. The impact they will have on your life and those around you is worth the time sacrifice to read or listen to each and every one of them in full. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t, you will be amazed at how quickly you will get through them, and how fast the impact from the experience will be felt.
